In A Way, They Proved His Point
-
A federal judge has ruled that the cops can't come onto your property and confiscate an upside-down flag. The flag in question was being flown upside-down by a guy upset that he was turned down for a liquor license. As offensive as an upside-down flag might be to some people, and as much as police claimed that the flag could have caused a riot, that's protected speech unless there's a "clear and present danger." It's the unpopular speech that needs the most protection. (WLUK-TV/Green Bay)
