A federal judge's ruling that Fox Searchlight Pictures violated minimum wage and overtime laws by making interns on the movie "Black Swan" work for free might throw a lot of businesses for a loop. There are close to 1 million unpaid internships in America every year, and some of them are surely exploitative, but others serve as a foot in the door for industries that are hard to get into, like, um, radio.
