A judge wouldn't toss a ticket issued to a young man for a minor traffic accident caused by his having a heart attack behind the wheel. Two tickets were dismissed, but one was just downgraded to a $133 fine for "obstructing the passage of vehicles." HE HAD A HEART ATTACK. He even had a doctor's note. Apparently, you don't need to possess common sense to be a municipal court judge. You need only have political connections, I guess. (Asbury Park Press)
