Yeah, But You Get A Jay-Z Album For It, So It's Worth... Um... Wait
-
A privacy group is asking the FTC to investigate why Jay-Z's recent free-album-download-for-Samsung-phone-users promotion and app required users to give him access to their personal information including phone calls, location, and other apps on the phone. Users also had to sign in through Facebook or Twitter first, so he got access to that information, too. There was no reason for all of that, but the FTC will probably pass on it, because when you sign up for that, you agree to the terms of service, and that's in there. So, what of your privacy are you willing to give up for a Jay-Z album? (Los Angeles Times)
