Was There Ever A Native American Burial Ground At Broad And Pattison?
-
Even as a Phillies fan, it didn't occur to me when the news that Darren Daulton has brain cancer was announced that three other Phillies of the Veterans Stadium era also died of brain cancer -- possibly four, if Ken Brett did, which his family won't disclose. But Tug McGraw, John Vukovich, and Johnny Oates all played in the '70s and '80s at the Vet and died young of brain cancer, and now Daulton's sick. Is that coincidence or a cluster, and if it's the latter, was that place a death trap? (And since I saw a LOT of games there, was there a danger to the fans, too?) (Philadelphia Inquirer)
