What Happens In South Ozone Park...

It's apparently true that the opening of a casino in Queens has drawn a lot of gambling action away from Atlantic City and, especially, from the Connecticut casinos. The casino, opened at Aqueduct race track, is leading the nation in slots revenue and attracting the New York City ethnic community gamblers who used to go out-of-state. This raises a topic for me: Are we oversaturated with gambling options? Did we need ANOTHER slots palace in that area? Vegas will apparently endure, but there are SO many options to blow your money across the country, does it take big, elaborate resorts and an anything-goes approach to draw people away from the local one-armed-bandit emporium?
