The single most useless thing in the judicial system -- okay, maybe domestic restraining orders are as useless -- is the revoked driver's license. Take this habitual speeder in the U.K. who got clocked at 165 mph (!) and got a fine, which he said he can't afford to pay, and a three year license suspension. His reaction? He said "I’m still going to drive — catch me if you can." And he will, because the only enforcement is when you get caught, and people who lose their licenses for DUIs and speeding don't think they'll get caught. (Toronto Star)
