So Cut The Cord Already
-
The CBS/Time Warner dispute is interesting enough, but how about this lawsuit against Time Warner Cable over what we've already discussed before, the practice of charging everyone for sports channels they may not want (in this case, the Dodgers and Lakers channel, which will cost all subscribers several dollars per month)? I'm not sure whether what is neither a technical monopoly (most of the L.A. market can also get FiOS or UVerse, and there's DirecTV and Dish) nor an absolute necessity (it is, for TV viewing, in my neighborhood, but we don't live in a Time Warner area) can be forced to sell things in a different way by the courts, but it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
