HOW Much Did Tuition Go Up?
-
UC Davis thinks it has an image problem. So it's hired a PR person -- excuse me, "associate chancellor for strategic communications" -- and the public college is paying $260,000 per year plus housing for 90 days and a low-interest home loan. They think they need to spend top dollar on this position because of last year's pepper spray incident at the tuition hike protest, but I doubt people even remember that by now. And if people realize that those tuition hikes are paying for a PR person... well, THAT'S a blow to the old image. (Sacramento Bee)
