Bidet Of Doom
-
You pay over $5,000 for a fancy toilet controlled by a smartphone app, you don't expect that you could end up with a disaster because anyone with the app can control any of the toilets. The problem is that the Bluetooth code is the same for all of them -- 0000 -- and that means you could just download the app, pair your phone with someone else's toilet, and remotely flush the thing over and over to waste water and make the owner's bill go up. But that's not all -- you could "unexpectedly open/close the lid, activate bidet or air-dry functions, causing discomfort or distress to [the] user." Actually, that sounds hilarious, although you have to be close to the toilet because Bluetooth doesn't reach very far. (BBC)
