Plus, Using Instagram For It Was Unforgivable
-
He was the top-selling salesman at Lacoste's flagship New York store, and he was sick of having to live in a tiny studio apartment, a single dad with two little daughters, making very little -- $15/hour plus 3% commission. So he posted his paycheck on Instagram... and got fired for it. He meant for it to be private, but as with everything private on the Internet, it managed to make its way to someone else's eyes, namely his bosses, who called it a breach of confidentiality. He thinks he should have gotten a warning, but, face it, if you were his boss and caught him complaining about his job online, you'd have fired him, too. Not that he's wrong in his complaint, but, still, there are other ways to address the issue. (New York Daily News)
