The thing about Tim Armstrong publicly firing AOL's creative director during the conference call defending the firings and shutdown of many Patch.com sites is this: Is it ever, EVER acceptable to be fired in public like that? Is it especially bad for the fired person, or does it reflect poorly, as it appears to be doing in Armstrong's case, on the boss doing the firing? Is this bullying? (Today Show/NBC News)
