Disguised During The Day As A Mild-Mannered Convenience Store....
-
There is no place where customers are gouged more than at gas stations near airports, which jack prices way up because they know people have to gas up before returning their cars. In Orlando, there are a couple of gas stations right by the airport entrance infamous for charging about $2.50 more per gallon than the market price. But they're now facing a market foe tougher than any other: Wawa. Yes, the legendary Philadelphia convenience store and gas station chain has moved aggressively into the Orlando market, and now they're opening one right by where the gougers are, and they'll charge their usual low-end-of-the-market prices. Plus, good hoagies made to order. Lord, I miss Wawa. (Orlando Sentinel)
