You can see both sides of this one: On one hand, an autistic child has a right to get dental treatment like anyone else. On the other hand, if you're the dentist and the autistic patient refuses to open her mouth and won't sit still, should you have the right to say no, I'm not gonna do it, and don't come back? How DO you handle the situation? This one will be decided under Canadian regulations, but the issue surely comes up everywhere. (CBC)
