So Now You Can Do All The Pervy Things You Want On Video With Confidence
-
The concern I have with the revenge porn ban signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown in California isn't for the publishers or the exes, who are detestable scum and shouldn't be posting that stuff, period. It's that the law is, along with the proposal to force ISPs to remove stuff kids post that later turns out to be embarrassing, another step towards relieving people of their responsibility for their own actions. "Revenge porn" can't happen if the victim doesn't make a sex tape or take nude pictures in the first place. You decide to take those shots knowing that there's a chance, however remote, that they can become public, or at least be seen by someone you don't want to see it. With this law, your failure to exercise self-control can land someone else in jail. (AP via Sacramento Bee)
