So, 'Up' Wasn't Fiction?

Oh, sure, you can book a seat on Virgin Galactic to go into almost-space, but if you REALLY want to ascend to the stratosphere in style, go by giant balloon for a lot less. And you go 18.5 miles into the air (it takes about an hour and a half), drift up there, then land. Plus, you get champagne. Price: $75,000, cheaper than the suborbital rides Virgon and XCOR are offering, and those are mostly going up and coming down, with the peak lasting just a few minutes. Intrigued? Me, I'm happy on the ground. YOU go. (New York Times)
