But the provincial health insurance system decided that it won't pay for it. Six months of treatment would cost about C$48,000, and the maker of Avastin would pay 20% of it, but still no. If she lived in three other provinces, they'd pay for it. Because she lives in Ontario, she'll die faster. So it's not a perfect system. (Global News)
