Good For A Single Person Who Plans To Remain Single

An icon of Seattle, the pie-shaped tiny Montlake Spite House, has been sold. The asking price was almost $400,000 for 830 square feet; whatever it sold for was more than you'd think a tiny, barely liveable house would go for. Legend has it that the house was built to spite a neighbor who wouldn't go above a low-ball bid for the thought-to-be-unbuildable wedge of land in 1925. Or it was because of a bitter divorce where one spouse got the house and the other the tiny front yard. Whatever it was, the last laugh goes to whoever sold it. (KOMO-TV/Seattle)
