Having To Watch The Knicks Is Another Form Of Payment
-
In case you were not fully aware that the rich and famous are not like you and me, here's an article all about the special treatment the Knicks give celebrities. They set aside six courtside seats for A-listers (although they stretch that definition somewhat), and celebs are courted (no pun intended) with a special VIP room (the one in which Woody Allen is no longer welcome) and other perks, that the rest of us will never get. They do little things in return, like allow themselves to be put on camera and shoot little promo messages, but they definitely get better treatment than the rest of us. And there are enough people who ooh and ahh over celebs at courtside for it all to make sense. (New York Times)
