Might Wanna Stand In The Doorway Just In Case
-
A list of quake-vulnerable buildings in L.A. has been released, and among those are places like the Capitol Records Tower, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and the Chinese Theatre. And, yes, the first thing I did was to look up places my wife and I go. Our house isn't on the list -- that's good. Fran's office downtown, not on the list (but the building next door is). The Arclight Theatre on Sunset is on the list (but I think just for the Cinerama Dome part, built in 1963; the rest seems way too recent to be on the list). This is the kind of thing we have to deal with in Southern California. It's one of the prices we pay for living here. (Los Angeles Times; KNBC-TV/Los Angeles)
