If They Were Spraying YOUR House, You Might Have A Different Perspective
-
While the world recoils over the giraffe killing, here's a smaller-scale equivalent in Auburn, CA, where a homeowner had a skunk invasion -- 18 in his yard -- that he dealt with by drowning the animals. The real trouble began when a local paper called him "the skunk man" and said he'd found "the sweet smell of success," making people angry. He says a trapper told him that drowning was the best way to prevent the skunks from spraying. And he insists it was not bringing him pleasure to do it. But after that, everyone discovered that the law changed on January 1st and drowning skunks is illegal in California, which came as a surprise not only to the guy but the state Fish and Wildlife officers. Does the idea of drowning skunks make you upset? (KXTV/Sacramento)
