A Record For Everyone
-
How slow a news day was it Sunday? A lead story on the local news in L.A. was the world record for continuous concrete pour, 80 million pounds of concrete for 18 hours, at the construction site for the new tallest-in-the-West skyscraper here. Which raises the question: Who decided that there would even BE a record for pouring concrete? I'm serious -- why is there a record for that? Is ANYTHING a potential Guinness record? Can I put my finger on my forehead for 10 minutes and claim the world record for finger-on-forehead? (KNBC-TV/Los Angeles)
