Interesting case: An appeals court has ruled that parents can't be held negligent for inviting their mentally ill, violent son to Thanksgiving dinner, where he shot and killed four relatives. The victims' estates sued the parents, but the court said that the parents should be ENCOURAGED to bring troubled family members to family gatherings. That's both understandable and weird at the same time. And in this case, it was fatal, because he ate, went to his car, got his gun, and shot his sisters, an aunt, and a 6-year-old cousin. But you wouldn't want to discourage him from being with his family. (WPTV/West Palm Beach)
