You Run A Fast Enough 40, You Can Believe In Anything

We now have more information about Adam Muema, the San Diego State running back who bolted from the NFL Combine saying that Gold told him to do that because he'd be drafted by Seattle, then spent three days at the airport. And we find out that he went to a Catholic mass where the Seahawks GM was supposed to speak, which he took as a sign, and that he follows an Internet "messiah" named Lord RayEl. Now, no matter how good this kid is, would you even THINK of drafting him? Before you answer, would you draft a really good player who was intensely religious but with a mainstream religion? In practical matters -- on the field, that is -- would there be a difference? Or would you be worried that the "messiah" would instruct him to sit out or do something wacky? (Deadspin)
