You'd Think This Would All Be Done Electronically By Now
-
This article is about how prescription drug addicts are easily able to write fake prescriptions and get them filled. Obviously, it's illegal, but also obviously, it's not hard to do. What's weird is that if you want to buy Claritin D or Sudafed for your cold and allergies, you have to hand over your driver's license and you get restricted to a certain amount, and that's for over-the-counter stuff, because it can be used to make meth. But Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, even Methadone? They apparently don't always check anything. Seems backwards. (Providence Journal)
