Oh, You Want A Room That Won't Crumble Around You? Try Phoenix

In January, they released new earthquake fault maps here in L.A. The new mapping shows faults under... everything. Offices, hotels, apartments, schools, homes, hospitals, freeways, everything. And that raises an interesting question, besides what to do about that if you have a building on or near a fault line. Say you own a hotel or office building; do you tell potential customers or visitors about the faults? Do you warn them? If you don't, should you be liable if something happens? Do we need to have buildings post legal warnings on their front doors? (Los Angeles Times)
