Can't Move The Games? You're Full Of Sh-t

So, how's Rio doing in preparation for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics? Apparently, not too well: Facilities are not close to finished (not even for the World Cup, which begins in three weeks), eight workers have died building stadiums, and, for the Olympics, the bay where the rowing is to take place is so foul with sewage and garbage that it's not safe for the athletes to touch the water, even to launch their boats. It's pretty much par for the course there, due to corruption and a continuing inability to deal with their problems. But FIFA and the IOC put their events there anyway, because, we can assume, money talks. (New York Times)
