Remember the teenager who plummeted 3,000 feet during a birthday skydive in Texas and survived? The FAA says that there was nothing wrong with her parachute. And the skydiving company said that they told her via radio how to correct the twisted lines, something they'd told her about before, and she didn't do it. She didn't follow any of the commands -- she panicked. She said she did and then blacked out when it didn't work. Might this have been her fault? Really, if the chute is not deployed and corrected automatically, isn't there always a chance that the skydiver will panic? (KXAS-TV/Fort Worth-Dallas)
