You'd Think 'New Coke' Would Have Cured Them Of This
-
You change the formulation of a food product at your own risk, which is why Coca-Cola is taking a hit for changing the formula of its full calorie VitaminWater to go from all sugar to part sugar, part stevia. It tastes different, and fans of the drink are livid. I can't blame them; if you like the stuff and suddenly it has that fake, metallic taste you get from alternative sweeteners, you'd be upset, too. But if it's me, I don't complain, I just stop buying it. But the old formulation was way, way down in sales, so I would assume Coke doesn't care about the complaints, they care more about doing whatever they can do to boost sales.
