Ralph Kramden Is Not A Miracle Worker After All
-
It made a great news story in February: A Dayton bus driver said he'd been attacked by three men, and that they shot him but a Bible stopped the bullets and saved his life. But the transit system folks smelled a rat, and they've now released their findings: they say he lied. Why? They don't know, but they did all the ballistics tests and DNA workups and they say they could not repeat how he said it went down. But a weird thing is happening: they're not charging the bus driver with anything, either. The city spent a lot of time and money investigating, his claims were allegedly false (he's sticking to the story), but they think it'd cost too much and a defense lawyer could have made it difficult to prove that the driver knew what he was doing in making up the story. So, after all that, nothing. Weird. (WDTN-TV/Dayton)
