Yeah, It Didn't Seem As Good As They Said It Was
-
In April, the administration said that the economy grew -- a tiny bit, but it grew -- in first quarter. Last month, revised estimates said there was actually a little shrinkage -- about 1%. Not good. And now, the Commerce Department admits that the actual number was a 2.9% drop, the worst since 2009. The weather might have had an effect, but businesses cut back big time, and there are indications that business leaders don't see the economy getting better fast enough. The administration, for its part, is now predicting good results for second quarter. Too bad they got it so wrong last quarter; it kind of raises questions about their credibility. (Fox News)
