We're Not Getting Closer To An Answer, Are We?
-
The widely publicized standoff that turned buses full of illegal immigrant kids away from a Border Patrol processing facility in Murietta, CA might just be the beginning of a series of protests by activists across the Southwest refusing to allow illegal immigrants to reach the processing centers. If that's what's going to be going on here, it raises a bunch of issues, including what to do with the kids, and whether this is civil disobedience or people actively interfering with the government doing its job (or both). How long is this issue going to hang there unsolved, and what's the answer? Is reform the way to go, or walling up the borders? (Los Angeles Times)
