The question after Germany demolished Brazil 7-1 in the World Cup semi-final is whether Germany was that good or Brazil was that bad. Brazil was missing Neymar and Silva, but nobody thought they'd get blown out and give up five goals in the first half. Is this the worst beating you can remember in a playoff game of this magnitude, with teams that weren't supposed to be that mismatched, on the losers' home turf? And one more note: This was at Belo Horizonte, and was probably the biggest World Cup surprise there since the U.S. stunned England 1-0 in 1950. (BBC)
