Dead: Elaine Stritch, Broadway legend. The great thing about her was that she did not give a sh-t. She said what she wanted, did what she wanted, and was absolutely larger than life. She was on Broadway as recently as four years ago, played Alec Baldwin/Jack Donaghy's mother on "30 Rock," did a million Broadway shows, was the subject of a documentary released earlier this year, and I remember her for the London Weekend Television sitcom "Two's Company" with Donald Sinden that was pretty much a vehicle for her real-life personality. Truly an original. (New York Post)
