What, You Don't Want To Know Your Blood Pressure And Heart Rate At All Times?
-
The frenzy over wearables -- the devices were all over CES the last two years, and everyone's racing to beat Apple to the punch as the iWatch or whatever it might be takes shape -- ignores evidence that people don't seem to really want them. There have been plenty of fitness bands and sensors already, and research shows that people get tired of them and stop wearing them pretty quickly. I've looked at Fitbits and other bands for myself, and I realized that after the novelty wears off, it's pretty useless and annoying. But if Apple comes up with something better than fitness app stats and texts without taking out your phone, I'll take a look. You? (Los Angeles Times)
