Weren't Tablets Supposed To Fix This?

Have we all agreed by now that college textbooks cost way too much? It's an amazing profit scam, and some professors are refusing to assign new books, or arranging for last year's class to sell books to this year's incoming class, or trying other ways to cut the cost. Those books were insanely expensive when I was in college and law school, back in the Jurassic era. It's out of control now. No book should cost hundreds of dollars new unless it comes with a gold bar or something. (Los Angeles Times)
