Maybe I'll Draw My Face On A Table At The Torrance In-N-Out Burger

The Palm restaurants are famous for the caricatures of celebrities and luminaries and other folks on the walls. But what happens when the restaurant moves? In Beverly Hills, the Palm is moving, and the caricatures will not make the move with it. They're cutting out as many as they can and giving them to the subjects, but the new location won't have the old drawings. A couple of things: As someone who isn't famous or powerful enough to merit a cartoon on the wall, it's a reminder that fame is fleeting. And for those who ARE famous enough, will it be a badge of honor that you made it to the Palm wall before the move, even if it's gone and there may be different people honored in the new location? Is there an old school made-the-cut honor involved? (Los Angeles Times)
