You Don't Get A Margin For Error Up There

I understand the appeal of skydiving, I really do, but one of the (many) reasons I'd never do it is because of incidents like this, in which two guys on a tandem jump plummeted into a shed and died. They jumped and the pilot says they knew immediately that they had trouble -- the chute didn't open properly, and they were spinning. That's a long way down to know that you're going to hit, hit hard, and likely not survive. And that's not fun. (WCVB-TV/Boston)
