Unfortunately, The Internet's Quite Hospitable To Creeps
-
It is legal to photograph people in a public place and post them online. So it may be creepy, but it's not illegal that someone was taking pictures of female customers at a gas station and posting them to Tumblr. The site's now down. The pictures hid the women's faces, but not their bodies, and the idea was that this station was "in the hood" and women in various stages of not-enough-clothing would patronize the place, and the clerk would send Snapchat pictures to a friend who posted them to Tumblr. Nothing anyone can do to stop it, although it WAS stopped, ostensibly voluntarily. Should you have the expectation of privacy when you're not in a private place? (WTNH-TV/New Haven)
