My Brain Took The Day Off. The Rest Of Me Is Here
-
Los Angeles, this weekend, is hot. Very hot. Not "it's a dry heat" hot, but really, really hot, in the 90s by the ocean and 100s in the Valley. And while that means nothing to most of you, here's my topic, from the perspective of someone in a non-air-conditioned house that, despite being close to the ocean, is still stiflingly hot: When there's extreme weather, can you work in it? When it's this hot, I end up struggling to put words together, because I'm distracted. Even if you have A/C, or, if it's raining or snowing, a roof over your head, the thought of having to go out in bad weather has to interfere with productivity. Can you shut it all out and just work as normal? (KCBS-TV/Los Angeles)
