We Won't Have Lawns, But We'll Still Be Here
-
Fran and I were talking about the heat and the drought the other day, and how sometimes it seems like we're never going to see rain or moderate temperatures in Southern California ever again. That's probably not quite accurate, but it SEEMS that way, and we were talking about the hardships we might face if that happens. But here's research using computer models that says California would be able to survive a 72-year drought fairly well. We'd be using treated sewer water and we'd see some shrinkage of agriculture, but, overall, the state and the economy would survive, they say. Hope they're right. (Los Angeles Times)
