Not How You Want To Be Remembered
-
I don't know whether it matters to the decedent when his or her body is found, or what condition they're in. I suppose it would depend on whether you believe in an afterlife in which you look down on Earth, or whether it matters to you how your survivors feel about it. But former Fox executive Gavin Smith disappeared in 2012, with his Mercedes found in a storage facility and vague details like an alleged relationship between his wife and a drug dealer, and now, two years later, they found his remains, encountered by hikers up in Palmdale. That is not how you'd want to be found if what happens after you die matters to you. (Los Angeles Times)
