They HAVE Updated The Inventory, I Hope

How many stores in downtown areas of small cities that you remember from your youth are still around? I mean, like, stores that were bustling in the 1960s. They're all gone, killed off by flight to the suburbs and encroaching Walmarts and Targets. But here's a men's clothing store in downtown Pottstown, PA that's celebrating its 150th anniversary, and it's one of those full-service, old-line stores that's just always been there, adapting to changing tastes and hanging in while the city around it withered and almost died and still there as the town sees signs of revival. There's one older men's store, in Nashville, and while I tend to wear basic t-shirts and jeans all the time, I kinda want to visit these places just to get the vibe of the old school haberdasheries I remember from the Main Streets of my youth.
