So 'Codyland' Was Not His Happy Place
-
What everyone can agree upon is that teenager Cody Metzer-Madsen killed his 5-year-old foster brother. The defense in his murder trial is that he's insane. And among the evidence, there are witnesses testifying that when Cody went into "staring episodes," he would say he would be visiting "Codyland." And Cody testified that he was in "Codyland" when he killed a goblin which he did not know was actually his foster brother in this world. A clinical and forensic psychologist testified that he couldn't tell WHAT the hell was going on in Cody's head, because it made no sense and when he talked about the death of the brother, he was emotionless, "like someone was reading a script." So, do you believe that Cody's insane, or is he making this up, and either way, did he know what he was doing enough for a murder charge? (The Daily Nonpareil, Council Bluffs)
