Just Send Out The Rhythm Section, Leave The Horns Inside
-
I just saw on TV that it's going to be 20 degrees with a wind chill below that and a couple of inches of snow in the bargain for the University of Minnesota's football game at TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday, and this article is about how hard that is... on the marching band. Everyone talks about playing in that cold, and how the fans have to brave it, too, but what about the musicians, who have to deal with cold feet (literally) and frozen instruments? What if the horns don't work? A trumpet player has the answer: "If it freezes up too much, we're just going to have to yell a lot.†I'd want to hear that. (KMSP-TV/Minneapolis)
