Not Enough Excedrin In The World For That
-
EWWWW: A guy's headache got worse, he had seizures, and he suffered for almost four years before the source of the pain was discovered and removed: a nearly four-inch tapeworm in his brain. It wandered through his grey matter and caused all sorts of problems. These tapeworms prefer cats or dogs as hosts, and they need three hosts to grow to full size. But how did it get into a human? Well, they hatch in fresh water, end up ingested by tadpoles, frogs, or snakes, and it's when you eat one of those -- considered medicinal in China -- you can get infected. Moral: Do not eat tadpoles, frogs, or snakes. (Los Angeles Times)
