Maybe She Should Have Bought Something First So They'd Let Her Stay
-
This might not be the popular opinion, but I have sympathy for the Starbucks barista who, when a woman who'd tracked her stolen iPhone to the store tried to grab it back from the thief, told the woman to leave the store. She's angry because it let the thief get away, but put yourself in the barista's shoes: Suddenly, a woman bursts in, tries to grab a customer's phone, and is yelling something about it being stolen. How are you supposed to know that she's not crazy, or not stealing the phone herself? Isn't the correct response to dial the police and let them handle it, and try to get the commotion out of the store? (KTRK-TV/Houston)
