The interesting thing about the reactions to the President's Cuba initiative is the generation gap -- it seems that the older folks who remember that Castro seized everyone's property and shut down a lot of basic human rights are against it, and younger people who don't remember, or know, that it happened are more pleased. Regardless of whether you think this is an overdue necessity or a travesty, imagine being a Cuban immigrant in the early '60s who fled and lost everything, and now your adopted country's making nice(r) to the people who stole from you. Would you be offended, resigned, or what? (CNN)
