Actually, Nobody's Entirely Safe Now
-
NOW France is deploying troops to protect vulnerable targets in the country from terrorism, which means Jewish schools and neighborhoods, which raises the question: If you're Jewish and living in France, do you get the hell out of Dodge? Well, I'm Jewish but I don't live in France. If I did, I'd want to get out. It's the tension between not wanting to have to move due to something not in my control, but, then again, you can't get what happened in the war out of your mind. Staying, at that time, meant death. The question is whether the danger's enough to make you move. And all I'll say is that I'm glad I got to see Paris before this kind of thing became a thing. (New York Times)
