Preservationists are calling for a stop to the planned demolition of the first Taco Bell, because it's historic. It's also totally unremarkable, I mean, I understand the desire to preserve old McDonald's buildings with the classic arches, and I'm a big fan of saving old mid-century commercial architecture, but only when it's special. This Taco Bell building looks like lots of old Taco Bells in Southern California. And is the first Taco Bell that historic of a location? (KCBS-TV/Los Angeles)
